Cotton embroidered wall  banner to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land. These banners are designed by indigenous artist Sherrin Gross of  Nunukal, Nughie and Gorenpul people from Mijerribah in Quandamooka(Moreton Bay).

This design is about Connection to Country, our belonging. The borders with the black circles on the brown represent the generations of our people on this land. The smaller white dots to show there is spirit in all living things. The trees are nature and aboriginal people lived in and all parts of nature. At the bottom is a gathering circle, meeting place, with tracks and people.

When we acknowledge we are understanding agreeably that we are in the lands of the original custodians of this country.

This wall hanging has been designed by Sherrin Gross and with her permission hand made by artisans working in Fair  Trade organisation Artisans Effort in Kolkata India.
